Day 22
August 26, 2009
What a dreary day. What’s needed on a day like this a little ra-ra.

I have had this dress so long that I don’t remember where it came from, I just know that it’s super comfortable. As is my weird teacher’s gown top. I am having to be inventive now as the bramble scratches are still raging away on my calves, thank goodness it’s coincided with a lull in the hot weather so I can keep my legs under wraps a little longer without melting.

Day 9
August 13, 2009
Today I am verdant and flowering like a Summer meadow. Last night I wandered over to my allotment to discover all my tomato plants have succumed to blight. I picked the larger green fruits and brought them indoors to ripen, then stripped away the infected leaves so only the green remained in the hope that the remaining fruits would concentrate their efforts on reddening. This outfit is therefore the equivalent of a rain dance in a drought.

This dress is another Car Boot Sale find and I wear it quite often whereas I have no idea where I got the shoes and have never worn them. Not knowing how I came to have something is a rarity indeed so I think they needed an outing.
My tomato red bag was a birthday present from two lovely friends and it reminds me not to carry around a lot of nonsense.
The light was very strange this morning and I ran out of time trying to get the settings right, so here’s a close up too. Send ripening thoughts.

Day 5
August 9, 2009
A late post today because of a late night. We made last minute cinema plans to see the amazing Home. Cinemas have a tendency to be overly air-conditioned, so despite the muggy evening, I had to cover up. I also have a tendency to fidget so sitting still for two hours requires comfort. Roll out the leggings. The jacket had shoulder pads which I took out and now wish I didn’t as it makes the shoulders sag. I could not decide which of my new necklaces to wear, so wore nearly all of them which is always a good solution. I had to get a shot outside the pub with plenty of people around, hence the awkward pose.

Today I was entertaining, so am just about to wind down for another working week with a barbecue and polka dot playsuit that is so comfortable it feels as though you could well be not wearing anything, which isn’t a great idea at a barbecue.
